Sage Blake Rivers is an interdisciplinary artist based in Sydney, Australia, whose work spans moving image, performance, photography, sculpture, and painting. With a practice focused on themes of human connection and disconnection, Rivers explores the body as a site of both vulnerability and strength. Her work delves into the complexities of identity, memory, and the politics of gender, often using the body as a vessel for resistance and expression.

Rivers' creative journey is deeply influenced by ongoing dialogues surrounding femininity, gender, and their intersections in contemporary culture. Through her multifaceted approach, she seeks to create spaces for reflection on the ways in which personal and collective identities are shaped and understood. Her practice challenges conventional notions of connection, offering a nuanced exploration of the emotional, physical, and social dimensions that define our relationships with ourselves and others.

Her work has been widely exhibited across various platforms, with recent highlights including the acquisition of her durational performance Move 2023 by the Museum of Art and Culture, Lake Macquarie Cultural Collections, NSW.
